SHEA’s Senior Scholarship Award recognizes the work of an investigator/practitioner in infection prevention/healthcare epidemiology in practice for 15 years or more. The award recipient will receive $1,250. Selection will be based on the breadth and quality of the nominee’s contributions to infection prevention/healthcare epidemiology. The Call for Applications is open through May 23, 2025.
Eligibility
- SHEA member in good standing.
- In practice for 15 years or more (starting from the time of completion of fellowship training).
- Prior recipients are ineligible for this award.
Nomination Procedure
- A nomination letter from a SHEA member summarizing the nominee’s contributions to infection prevention and control/healthcare epidemiology. This should be from someone who knows you well and can speak to your qualifications for this award.
- Nominee’s CV
- Letter no longer than one page of nominee’s goals and interest in infection prevention and control/healthcare epidemiology
