Pediatric Scholarship Award

SHEA’s Pediatric Scholarship Award is intended to recognize the work of an investigator/practitioner in pediatric infection prevention and control/healthcare epidemiology. Awardees will receive $1,250. Selection will be based on the breadth and quality of the nominee’s contributions to the field of pediatric infection prevention/healthcare epidemiology. The Call for Applications is open through May 23, 2025.

Eligibility

  1. SHEA member in good standing.
  2. Significant contributions to pediatric infection prevention/healthcare epidemiology.
  3. Prior recipients are ineligible for this award.

Nomination Procedure:

  1. A nomination letter from a SHEA member summarizing the nominee’s contributions to infection prevention and control/healthcare epidemiology. This should be from someone who knows you well and can speak to your qualifications for this award.
  2. Nominee’s CV
  3. Letter no longer than one page of nominee’s goals and interest in infection prevention, healthcare epidemiology, or antibiotic stewardship
